CompassLearning's Odyssey curricula for grades PreK-12 is now available to KGBSD students via the Internet, even when not directly connected to the district network.
In Order to Access Odyssey: 1. Open an Internet browser. Supported browsers include newer versions of: Firefox, Internet Explorer (Windows only), Netscape, and Safari. We will be checking more specific computer requirements in steps 4 and 5. 2. Type “odyssey.kgbsd.org” into the address bar toward the top of the window and press the “enter” key on your keyboard.
3. Click the “System Requirements” button at the bottom of the window.
4. Click the “Check System” button. This will check your computer system for the minimum requirements for using Odyssey.
5. Any requirements marked with a need to be installed on your system. To do this, simply click on the blue download link provided and follow the instructions to download and install the missing component on your computer. Once the scan shows that your system is ready, click the “Close” button at the bottom of the screen to go back to the System Requirements page.
6. Once back on the System Requirements page, click the “Home” button to return to the homepage.
7. Click one time in the “User Name” field and type your user name. Repeat for the “Password" field. User names and passwords are assigned by the district. Please contact your child's teacher for more information regarding your child's user name and password. Leave the school pull-down menu set for “ODYSSEY.” Click the “Log In” button to enter Odyssey.
These instructions are available in a one-page version in doc, pdf, and FlashPaper formats.
