Please follow these steps for finding your computer name on a Windows XP based PC.
Select START on your task bar then right-click on My Computer and select Properties. In the System Properties window select the Computer Name tab.
Under the Computer Name tab in the System Properties window your full computer name will be listed just under the computer description and just above the Network ID button. The name of the above computer is CS4NS-PC (".kgbsd.org" can be ignored for the purpose of this article). For More information on computer names see FQDN. Author's Notes: There are many other ways to obtain a computer's name; this is only one example that I hope is easy to understand. |
