Mac Software License PDF Print E-mail
Written by Thane Peterson
Tuesday, 06 February 2007

The Computer Services Department is constantly getting questions regarding the use of Apple Software and its availability for use or distribution.  If you find yourself asking one of the questions below, please consider reading the following portions from the Apple EULA.

1: My Macintosh came with software on it so it is free, right?

2: Doesn't every Mac come with it?

3: Does anyone really care if I share this old program?

4: Doesn't the school district just have copies for us to use?

5: If I purchased a piece of software or it came pre-installed on my Mac I own it and can do whatever I like with it, right?

Please also see

If I purchase a copy or an upgrade to OSX 10.4 will the iLife suite come with it?
